She also performs social science research for NRIG projects when needed. Laura’s interests and expertise lie in information design, writing (project management documentation, technical help information, and research communication and scholarly publication), use of social science research methods (e.g., content analysis, communication and linguistic analysis), research and design ethics, training and teaching, synthesis and communication of science and technical information from other domains, systems analysis and design, usability and user experience, user research and requirements elicitation, and program/product management. Laura was a 2020 Trusted CI Fellow and has special interests in human factors related to cybersecurity.
